Notakuéra

Photocopy of original ms. records donated by Jean Kurnkel, Carthage, Missouri.

Contains misc. family research notes including information from U.S. census records, land records, correspondence and other sources, on the Wallin, Calin, and related families. The Wallin surname seems to be spelled Wallin and Wallen in the records.

William Wallin (1824-1884) and Emma Jane Wright (1834-1891) were married in 1858. Their daughter, Alice Louise, was born in 1858. She married George Wesley McIntosh in 1881. They had three children, 1885-1894.

Amos Carlin was born in 1816, the ninth of twelve children of John and Catherine Reed Carlin of Loudoun County, Virginia. He migrated to Ohio in 1838 and married Amanda J. Brewster, a native of Ohio, there in 1839. They had eight children. The family migrated to Illinois, ca. 1840, and to Newton County, Missouri, in 1841. She died in 1864, while expecting her ninth child.

Asa Carlin was born in 1818 in Harrison County, West Virginia. He and his wife, Mary Gifford (d. 1880), had nine children. He married 2) Melisa Withers Gilbert. The family probably lived in Newton County, Missouri.
