George Poindexter (1627-1690) immigrated in 1657 from the Isle of Jersey to Gloucester County, Virginia. Descendants and relatives lived in Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Louisiana, Texas and elsewhere. Part 1 deals with the family in Normandy, France, and part 2 with the family in the isle of Jersey and the isle of Guernsey, both part of the Channel islands of England.
