William Willard (1755-1846), a Revolutionary War soldier, was born in Loudon County, Virginia. He moved to Henry County, Virginia, at the close of the war. He and his wife, Jane Cook, a native of Ireland, had six children 1784-1797. The family migrated to Overton County, Tennessee, ca. 1788 and to Morgan County, Illinois, in 1830, and finally to McDonough County, Illinois. He died at the home of a daughter near Colchester, Illinois. Descendants listed lived in Illinois, Missouri, Iowa, Kansas, Colorado and elsewhere. .

Garret Conrad Van Wagnen was born at Rariton, New Jersey, in 1789, the son of Conrad Van Wagenen (1752-1842), a Revolutionary War soldier, and a descendant of Jacob Aertse Wagenaar, a 1642 immigrant to Reneselaerswyck [New York}. He migrated with his family to Sharon, New York, ca. 1797. He married Mary Weton in 1811. They had fifteen children, 1812-1839, the first nine born in various places in New York. The family migrated to Summit County, Ohio, in 1831 and moved Portage County, Ohio, in 1834. Descendants listed lived in Ohio, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin and elsewhere.
