Nancy Jane Logan (1848-1871) was born in Arkansas, the daughter of James Welch and Jane Patterson Logan. She married Thomas H. Teagarden (d. bef. 1880) in 1868. They had a daughter and a son, 1869-1871. She and the son died at his birth. He married 2) Adaline Longan 1872 and had a son born in 1876. Nancy Jane Logan Teagarden's diary, written in Texas, includes day to day events and information about her husband, daughter, and expected child.

David Logan (1706-1757), son of John and Alice Richmont Logan, married Jane Loyall in West Pennsborough Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, and migrated to Augusta County, Virginia, in 1740. They had at least eight children, 1741-1755. Their great grandson, James Welch Logan (1813 or 1814-1870) was born in Lincoln County, Kentucky, the son of James A. Logan (1780-1850). He migrated to Arkansas and married Jane Patterson in 1843. They had nine children, born in Arkansas and Texas. He died in Robertson County, Texas. Descendants listed lived in Texas and elsewhere.
