Jacob Stoner was born in Germany 10 March 1732. He was one of five brothers who emigrated from Germany to America in 1746. He married Autrain Ferguson. Jacob is said to have settled first in Berks County, Pennsylvania, then in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and later still settled in Carroll County, Maryland. Both Jacob and Autrain were buried on the homeplace near Beaverdam, Frederick County, Maryland. Jacob died in 1804; Autrain in 1831. Descendants live in Maryland, Virginia, Indiana, and elsewhere.
