Contains pictures of Landis houses at Hirzel, Switzerland, the earliest dated 1488, taken from a newspaper, printed in 1932 at Lancaster, Pennsylvania; a program from the fifth annual Landis fanily reunion, held at Lancaster, Pennsylvania, 1915; a Landis coat of arms; and a history of the Wenger family taken from a Wenger history by Jonas G. Wenger of Rittman, Ohio, Martin D. Wenger of Elkhart, Indiana, and Joseph H. Wenger of South English, Iowa.
Christian Wenger immigrated from the Palatenate, Germany, and settled in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, in 1727. There he married Eve Grabiel. They had eleven children, 1729-1753. Their son, Joseph Wenger (1747-1812) married Barbara Hoover (1747-1792). They had thirteen children, 1768-1789. He married 2) Anna Hochman (1764- 1847) in 1793. They had two children, 1794-1796. He died in Rockingham County, Virginia. His son, Benjamin Wenger (1781-1865), married Mary Ann Mauak (1783-1850). They had nine children, 1803- 1823. Their daughter, Anna Ienger (1803-1872) married Joseph Hasrshbarger (1803-1867) in 1823. They had thirteen children, 1824-1844. Their daughter, Ann Harshbarger (1829-1896) married John W. Landis.
