Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the King (and variant spellings) families who mainly came from England, Flanders, Germany (especially Bavaria, Prussia, Saxony, and Wurtemburg), Ireland, the Netherlands, and Scotland from 1600's-1800's. Some anglicized their names from Coeninck, Koenig, Konight, Konink, Roi, and Roy to King when they came to America. Some immigrated to Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York (Long Island), Rhode Island, and Virginia in the 1600's. In the 1700's, some settled in New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, and Quebec (Canada), and in Delaware, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, and West Virginia. During the 1800's, some moved to British Colubmia and Ontario (Canada), Australia, England, and to Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma (and the Indian Territory), Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wisconsin. Later descendants also settled in Alberta (Canada), and in Arizona, Florida, Hawaii, North Dakota, Washington D.C., and elsewhere. Some had aliases, and some changed their names. Some information about foster and adoptive parents are given. Some had Cherokee and Creek Indian bloodlines.
