Robert Livingston was born at Ancram, Roxburgshire, Scotland, 13 Dec. 1654, the son of Rev. John and Janet Fleming Livingston. He immigrated to America about 1674. He married Alida Van Rensseleer, widow of Rev. Nicholas Van Rensseleer and daughter of Philip Pieterse and Margaret Van Slichtenhorst Van Schuyler, in 1683. They had nine children. He died about 1728.
Philip Livingston, signer of the Declaration of Independence from New York, was born at Albany, New York, 15 January 1716. He married Christina Ten Broeck (1716-1801), daughter of Dirck and Margaret Cuyler Ten Broeck. They had nine children. He died at York, Pennsylvania, 12 June 1778. Descendants lived in New York, South Carolina, Georgia, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Jamacia, England and elsewhere.
