Johannes Fankhauser I (b.1692) married Barbara Habegger II about 1714, and immigrated from Switzerland (via Rotterdam) to Philadelphia in 1728, and settled in either Pennsylvania or Virginia. His son, Johannes II, died in Frederick County, Virginia. Descendants (who chiefly spelled the surname Funkhauser) and relatives lived in Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Illinois, Indiana and elsewhere. Includes ancestors in Switzerland (who spelled the surname Fankhuser or Fankhauser).
Includes Barbre, Cross, Ewing, Fulkerson, Hunsinger, Vaught and related families.
