The "Probate Minutes" column refers to the Probate Minutes series. It also refers to the County Court Civil and Probate Minutes series. The "District Court Minutes" column refers to the District Court Minutes series housed in the District Clerk's Office. To use the County Court Minutes index: vol. designation "1" refers to a volume mistitled v. 1 County Court Minutes (correct title is County Court Civil and Probate Minutes); volume designation "1CM" refers to Criminal Minutes; volume designation "2", "2CM", "3", and "3 Crim." where the plaintiff is the State of Texas are usually references to Criminal Minutes; volume designation "2-5", "2C-P", and "3C-P" where the plaintiff is not the State of Texas refers to the County Court Civil and Probate Minutes; volume designation "5-6" refers to the County Court Civil and Probate Minutes; volume designation "7" can refer to the County Court Civil and Probate Minutes or the County Court Civil Minutes; volume designation "8-10" refer to County Court Civil Minutes.
