"This volume contains information on the Civil War veterans who lived in this county before or after the Civil War. Most of them lived here for long periods of time, died and were buried here. Some enlisted here, fought during the war, were killed and buried elsewhere. Some only lived here late in life and applied for their pensions while living in this county.
