Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history of the Doak (and variant spellings) families in America. Immigrant ancestors were mainly Scotch-Irish, who settled in Virginia in the 1700's. Some focus is on the ancestors and descendants of Col. Samuel Alexander Doak. During the 1800's, some families lived in California, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, Tennessee, and Texas. Later descendants and relatives also lived in Germany, South America, and in Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Washington, Washington D.C., West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming, and elsewhere.

Includes Doack, Doage, Doagh, Doake, and Doke as variant spellings.

Also includes Bascom, Cummins, Dietzschold, Elmore, Guffin, Hart, Mallen, Porter, Sears, Shields, Smith, Tarwater, Taylor, Thomason, Turner, Vargas, Weesner, West, and other related families.

Includes a cumulative every-name and topical index for vols. 1 - 5 and another for vols. 6-10.

Frequency varies: Semiannual (1983); quarterly (1984-1989); semiannual (1990-1995), with only one issue in 1991.
