This consists of various typed documents detailing land grants received or not received by soldiers for their services in the Revolutionary War.
Doc. no. 30 ([41] leaves) lacks a title page and is missing the section for the 'A' surnames. It is arranged in alphabetical order by first letter of surname and gives officers name, rank, line (Navy, Continental, State, etc.), number of acres, when warrant was obtained, and time of service.
Doc. no. 31 (no. 2) (30 leaves) has the title "A list of officers of the Virginia Continental and State Lines, and State Navy, whose names appear on the Army register : and who have not recieved [sic] land for Revolutionary services at all, or not in the characters in which they there appear, They, who are entitled to land, are distinguished from those whose claim to Bounty Land are not satisfactorily proved by documents on file in the Public Offices of the State of Virginia." It is arranged in numberical order (nos. 1-282) and gives number, name, rank, line, and remarks.
Also included in Doc. no. 31 are two supplementary documents entitled "Officers reported in the foregoing list entitled to Bounty Land" and "Supplemental list of officers not included in the foregoing lists." They are arranged in numberical order (nos. 1-50 and 1-24) and give number, name, rank, line, and remarks.
Doc. no. 32 (no. 4) ([26] leaves) consists of several typed documents, not all of which are listed or are listed inaccurately on the title page. The first is a letter (p. 3-11) addressed "To the Executive of Virginia" from John H. Smith of Richmond and dated 19 Aug. 1833. In this letter he presents the claims to bounty land from the heirs of Thomas Taylor, who marched in the Illinois Regiment under Colonel George Rodgers Clarke. The second document (2 leaves) is titled "A list of officers of the Illinois Regiment and of Crocketts Regiment, who have recieved [sic] land for their services." It is arranged in numerical order (nos. 1-48) and gives number, name, rank, and remarks. The third document (1 leaf) is titled "A list of officers of the Illinois Regiment who have not recieved [sic] lands for Revolutionary services." It is arranged in numerical order (nos. 1-18) and gives number, name, rank, and remarks. The fourth document (13 leaves) is titled "A list of non-commissioned officers and soldiers of the Illinois Regiment, and the Western Army under the command of General George Rodgers Clarke, who are entitled to bounty in land." It is arranged in numerical order (nos. 1-600) and gives number, name, rank, and remarks.
Doc. no. 34 (no. 6) ([18] leaves) consists of several typed documents, not all of which are listed or are listed inaccurately on the title page. The first (p. [2]-6) is titled "Armands Corps" and arranged in numerical order (nos. 1-136). It gives number, name, rank, and remarks, when enlisted etc. The second document (p. 7) has two separate reports in it. The first part is a list of soldiers (Virginians) who were reported to the Senate of the United States, as not having claimed their warrents [sic] for bounty land, which remained on the file in the bounty land office January 16, 1828. The second part is a list of soldiers (of the invalid regiment, and part of the quata of Virginia) who were reported to the Senate of the United States, on the 18th of January 1828, entitled to bounty land from the United States. Both give name, rank, and number of acres. The third document (p. 8-11) is titled "A list of officers and soldiers (of Virginia) of the Revolutionary Army who are entitiled to lands from the United States, whose warrents [sic] are on file in the bounty land office, and have not yet applied therefor-reported [sic] to the senate of the United States January 16th, 1828." It is arranged in numerical order (no. 1-336) and gives number, name, and rank. The fourth document (p. 12-14) is titled "A list of officers and soldiers who have been allowed bounty land by the Executive of Virginia, and who have not recieved [sic] the warrents [sic]. The orders for the same remain on file in the land office." It is arranged in numerical order (no. 1-137) and gives number, name, rank, line, and number of acres etc. The fifth document (p. 15) is "a list of claims allowed by the Executive of Virginia, for which the certificates remain on file in the Executive Department." It is arranged in numerical order (no. 138-171) and gives number, name, rank, line, term of service, and when allowed.
Doc. no. 34's last document (p. 16-17 [two p. 17's]) is titled "A list of non-commissioned officers and privates reported to the Executive as entitled to land in list no. 3, who will recieve [sic] the same, if the executive shall agree with the agent in opinion." It is arranged in numerical order (nos. 1-88) and gives number, name, rank, line, service, and remarks.
