Paul Allen
Paul Allen, a visionary tech entrepreneur, has founded eight companies over the course of his career; most notably Ancestry.com. His primary focus is on using machine learning and AI to enable people and organizations to perform at their highest. His first venture, Infobases, aimed to digitize important books on CD ROM. This endeavor evolved into Ancestry.com, helping over 100 million people explore their family history. Allen’s creations like MyFamily.com and the We’re Related app on Facebook achieved remarkable user growth, with the latter gaining 120 million users in two and a half years. Collaborating with Gallup from 2012 to 2017, he promoted the StrengthsFinder assessment, now known as CliftonStrengths, playing a key role in obtaining its 30 million users.His latest venture, Soar.com, aims to use Artificial Intelligence for uplifting humanity. He plans to establish over fifteen corporations across various sectors over the coming months with over $1 million raised for his flagship AI product: Citizen Portal.Beyond entrepreneurship, Allen is a respected speaker and educator, emphasizing the importance of family stories and personal strengths. Paul’s dedication to learning extends to his teaching roles in Internet Marketing and Entrepreneurship at Utah Valley University and Brigham Young University. He’s received numerous accolades, including Ernst & Young UtahEntrepreneur of the Year in 2000 and MarketingSherpa National Entrepreneur of the Year in 2008.Paul, a BYU alumnus with a BA in Russian, lives in Missouri with his wife, Christy. They have eight children and five grandchildren.
Hunter Cannon
Hunter joined Ancestry in 2020 and is currently working on AI storytelling projects. He is passionate about helping people preserve their family memories and stories for generations to come. He has a BS in Finance and an MBA from Brigham Young University. Besides family history he enjoys camping with family, cooking, and playing sports
Uri Gonen
Uri Gonen has been working at MyHeritage since 2005 where he took on different challenges and roles in product development and product management. He has been part of the wild journey of MyHeritage from a small startup to a dominant company in the genealogy space. Among his involvement in key projects of the company, Uri was the original developer behind Family Tree Builder, and the product manager of MyHeritage’s genealogy search engine. Recently, Uri was involved in several genealogical projects such as PedigreeMap, Pedigree View, Tree Consistency Checker and several integrations with FamilySearch. Before joining MyHeritage, Uri has worked in other software startups in Israel, the United States and Canada. He now lives and works in Toronto, Canada.
