Joissakin sukututkimuskeskuksissa ja yhteistyökumppanikirjastoissa ylläpidetään kokoelmia aiemmin lainatuista mikrofilmeistä tai mikrokorteista. Kamerakuvake osoittaa kohteet, jotka ovat saatavana verkossa digitaalisessa muodossa.
Kaikki mikrofilmit on digitoitu ja mikrokortteja digitoidaan parhaillaan. Syitä siihen, miksi jotkin mikrofilmeissä tai mikrokorteissa olevat kuvat eivät ehkä vielä ole saatavana digitaalisesti familysearch.org-sivustolla:
- Mikrokortti saattaa olla menossa skannattavaksi.
- Mikrofilmi tai mikrokortti on ehkä skannattu, mutta sen käytölle on esimerkiksi sopimusperusteisia tai tietosuojaan liittyviä rajoituksia. FamilySearch pyrkii kaikin keinoin mahdollistamaan käytön asiakirjojen haltijoiden päätösten ja soveltuvien lakien puitteissa.
- Sinun pitää ehkä olla FamilySearch-keskuksessa tai FamilySearch-kirjastossa, jotta voit käyttää mikrofilmien ja mikrokorttien digitaalisia kuvia. Jotkin niistä saattavat myös vaatia, että kirjaudut FamilySearch-tiliisi.
