Ancestral and related families of James Roland Boone and his wife, Ruth Flake Boone.

James Roland Boone was born in 1911 at Glennville, Tattnall County, Georgia, the son of Columbus N. and Eliza Malinda Padgett Boone. He married Ruth Flake in 1937 at Salt Lake City, Utah. They had thirteen children, 1938-1956, born at Jacksonville, Florida. His father, Columbus Napolean Boone, was born in 1881 in Tattnall County, Georgia, the son of Ann Jane Boone (1860-1922), a single woman; and John Allen DeLoach (1862-1935). He married Eliza Malinda Padgett in 1905. They had three children, 1906-1911. He died in 1950 in Tattnall County. Eliza Malinda Padgett was born in 1872 in Tattnall County, Georgia, the daughter of Andrew Jackson Padgett (1839-1913) and Nancy Almania Stafford Padgett (1842-1919). Ancestors and relatives lived in Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, and elsewhere.

Ancestors include: John Copeland (b. 1616), of England; Massachusetts; and Isle of Wight County, Virginia -- James Barnard (fl. 1824) of Lynn, Massachusetts; South Carolina; and Tattnall County, Georgia -- Michael DeLoach (DesLoges) (fl. 1671) of Isle of Wight County, Virginia -- Joseph Dubberly (ca. 1788-1855) of South Carolina and Georgia -- Ulric Geiger (1729-1777) of Bryan, Georgia -- Hopkin Padgett (1812-1893) of Edgefield County, South Carolina; Tattnall County, Georgia; and Polk County, Florida -- Joshua Stafford (ca. 1715-1795) of Craven County, North Carolina, and Screven County, Georgia -- Floren Surrency (d. ca. 1720) of New Castle County, Delaware, and Charleston County, South Carolina -- Rev. Pierre Robert (1656-1715) of Switzerland and Santee, South Carolina -- John Hamilton Boone (1795-ca. 1867) of Ware County, Georgia.

Ruth Flake Boone was born in 1913 at Snowflake, Arizona, the daughter of James Madison and Martha Amelia Smith Flake. James Madison Flake was born in 1859 at Beaver, Utah, the son of William Jordan Flake (1839-1932) and Lucy Hannah White Flake (1832?-1900). He married Martha Amelia Smith in 1896 at Salt Lake City, Utah. They had fifteen children, 1897-1920, born at Snowflake, Arizona. He died in 1946 at Snowflake. Martha Amelia Smith Flake was born in 1877 at Parowan, Utah, the daughter of Jesse Nathaniel Smith (1834-1906) and Augusta Maria Outzen Smith (1854-1932). She died in 1932 at Snowflake, Arizona. Ancestors and relatives lived in Arizona, Utah, Massachusetts, North Carolina, New York, and elsewhere.

Ancestors include: Robert Smith (1626-1693) of Kirton, England, and Boxford, Massachusetts; and Samuel Flake (d. 1802) of Anson County, North Carolina; Samuel White (b. 1717) of Massachusetts.
