George Peter Miller moved to Berkely County, South Carolina and received a land grant there in 1745. He had possibly moved from Pennsylvania, and was probably of Germanic ancestry. Lawrence Elzie Miller (1897- 1974) was a direct descendant in the sixth generation, living in Lexington County, South Carolina. "This book is essentially a series of lines of descent to one man, Lawrence Elzie Miller, and his descendants"--Introduction. Descendants and relatives of George Peter Miller listed lived chiefly in South Carolina, with some living in North Carolina, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Mississippi and elsewhere.
