All files/images must be reviewed and uploaded by FamilySearch staff to the Wiki.[edit | edit source]

  • Images will be reviewed for appropriateness and copyright status.
  • All images should follow the guidelines set forth in the Image Use page.
  • NOTE: Limit size of file/image 5 mb

There are two ways to submit a file/image:[edit | edit source]

Option 1: Use Google Forms[edit | edit source]

  2. . You must have a google account (gmail account) to submit an image using this form.

Option 2: Email Us[edit | edit source]

1. Copy and paste the following and add it to an email. Be sure to answer all the questions.

1. Your Name:
2. Email Address:
3. If applicable, give your family history center or library name:
4. Title of file/image:
5. File/image creation date:
6. Description of file/image:
7: Are there living people in the image? If yes, do you have permission from the individual to submit this image for publication on the Wiki?
8. Did you get this image from the internet? If yes, what license does it have?
9. If you created the image/file, do you wish us to use the Creative Commons license: Attribution-NonCommerical-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported? If no, what copyright license would you prefer?

2. Send an email with answers to the above questions and the attachment to: wikisupport@familysearch.org

I've Submitted the File/Image. What happens now?[edit | edit source]

  • Within two business days you will receive an email confirming the file/image was uploaded.
  • The email will also include a link to the uploaded file/image on the Wiki and with that link, you will be able to add the file/image to the correct Wiki page.
