General Information

Info: Please select your class of interest by clicking on the following registration link for that class. You can also search for classes by selecting Classes by Topic or reviewing the Calendar of future classes.

Unless otherwise noted, the same training class will be offered in the morning at 11:00am and again at 7:00pm. On a rare occasion, our class times and dates may change before or after posted. You need to register for any session that you want attend.

We will continue to offer classes online using Zoom technology. Zoom is an online communication tool that allows us to provide classes for you wherever you are in the world. An account is not required to use this service. For help with Zoom, select one of the following links:

After registering for the class, you will receive a zoom confirmation email with a link to join the class. On the day of the registered class, please click on the zoom link and be ready 5 minutes before your scheduled class. Also, please meet any requested prerequisites.

Info: Each month, we will provide consulting classes to help you create learning experiences for other individuals who are interested in their family story. We encourage you to participate in our Consultant Connect Series to deepen your skills.

Connect - Introduction to Family Search for Consultants[edit | edit source]

Are you not sure how to start doing family history? This class will help you decide where you would like to start and how you would like to define "Family History." This is a very, very beginning class on getting started and feeling happy about doing what you can to learn more about your ancestors.

Connect - FamilySearch.org Research Strategies

Family history research is the process of searching records to find information about your relatives and using those records to link individuals to earlier and later generations. This class describes approaches for conducting family history research to help strengthen or extend your family history.

FamilySearch.org Catalog Workshop[edit | edit source]

Instructor: Mary Sayles

Not all records are indexed and searchable by name on FamilySearch.org. Learn how to find those unindexed records on FamilySearch.org using the amazing FamilySearch Catalog. In this evening session learn about the catalog the first hour and then join Mary practice using the Catalog for the next 1/2 hour. Please have example of PLACES you are researching or need help with to share in the workshop.
