Naturalization records have been filed in the county, circuit, and U.S. district courts in Florida. The Family History Library has copies of the records from very few counties.
Clerks of Court lists the counties with contact information for each clerk.
The National Archives at Atlanta has naturalization records of the U.S. district court for the Southern District of Florida (Key West) for the years 1875 to 1948 and records for the Southern District of Florida (Miami) for 1907 to 1948.
Post-1906 Records[edit | edit source]
In 1906 the Immigration and Naturalization Service (now United States Citizenship and Immigration Services) was created, forms were standardized and duplicate records created by the court were sent to the INS. To access these records, use the Genealogy Program from the USCIS website. You may also contact the National Archives at Atlanta for naturalization records.
