Norway, Census, 1891

This collection contains over two million records from the Norwegian 1891 Census, recorded on 1 January 1891. While previous censuses used one form per household, the 1891 census introduced one sheet per individual, which resulted in an extremely detailed census. Information about animal husbandry and planting was collected and listed on separate forms, but was lost in a fire in 1939. The indexes were provided by Ancestry.com.
