John Hall (1849-1923) was born in Kent Co., England. He was the son of George and Charlotte Back Hall. In 1879, he married Naomi Emma Spackman and they had 11 children. They joined the L.D.S. Church and in 1873, they immigrated to Utah, via New York. John Hall died 8 December 1923 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Naomi Emma Spackman Hall died 6 January 1936 in Charlotte, North Carolina, at the home of her daughter. Both are buried at the Salt Lake City Cemetery in Salt Lake City, Utah. Descendants and relatives lived in Utah, Idaho, Washington, Nevada, California, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Hawaii and elsewhere.
