Daisy Opal Decker was born in 1914 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the daughter of Roy Jessie Decker (1893-1969) and Syntha Ann Anderson Decker (1890-1922). She married Orlando L. Gregory in 1930. He was born in 1906 at Hennessey, Oklahoma, the son of James Lincoln Gregory (1861-1949) and Minnie Mary Mathews Gregory (1879-1957). He died in 1976 at Oklahoma City.

Ancestors include: John K. Henry Decker (ca. 1811-1876) of Germany and Indiana; Robert Anderson (1762-1835) of Ireland and Indiana; and Richard Gregory (1770-1855) of Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Indiana.
