Orthodox Church registers (births, marriages, deaths) for the district and city churches of Izmail, Bessarabia, Russia, later Cahul and Ismail, Romania; now Kagul, Moldova and Izmail, Odesa, Ukraine. Also includes some Jewish Congregation records. Text in Russian, Moldavian and Hebrew. Some volumes begin with an index. Unless otherwise noted, volumes contain records from more then one locality. Use finding aid (archival register) to find individual localities in a particular volume.

The term "Russia" in the subject heading refers to the locality designation in the historical Russian Empire or Soviet Union.
