Andrew Olsen Aanerud, son of Ole Andersen Aanerud and Ragna Bergersdatter Spetdalen, was born 28 May 1851 in Oudalen, Norway. He married Josephine Kresta and they had 12 children. The family immigrated to Minnesota between 1877 and 1881. Josephine died in Donnelly, Stevens County, Minnesota in 1926 and Andrew died there in 1928. Their descendants have lived in Minnesota, Arizona, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Washington, Arizona, Utah, Illinois, Wyoming, Texas, Nebraska, Tennessee, California, New York, Montana, Canada, Norway and elsewhere.
