Adam Linn served as a sergeant in the Pennsylvania line during the Revolutionary War. After the war he lived in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and Guernsey County, Ohio. He married Ann Hefley in 1780. They had five children. He died in 1834 in Guernsey County.
