Copied from two Bibles: the family Bible of Issac E. Van Duzer of Staten Island, New York, and the Bible of A. Van Duzer [Annie M. Ebert], presented by her mother, 1851.
Captain Isaac Van Duzer and Eleanor Bradley (b. 1822) were married in 1839. They had four children, 1840-1845, all born on Staten Island, New York. He died in 1847 at age 34. Eleanor Van Duzer may have remarried as there are two Mills sons, born in 1851 and 1853. Eleanor Mills married (3?) Joseph F. Cooke at Brooklyn, New York, in 1868. Her son?, Edward West Mills (b. 1851), and Isadore V. Jones were married at Brooklyn in 1869. They had two children, 1869-1871, born at Brooklyn. Annie M. Van Duzer (1840-1912), daughter of Isaac and Eleanor Van Duzer, married John Ebert in 1863. They had at least two children, 1867-1871. John Ebert died in 1881 at age 45. The Van Duzer name is written as Van Duzer and Vanduzer in the records.
Includes an obitiuary for Lydia Egbert (1795-1889), youngest daughter of John and Rachel Mitchel Seguine and widow of John Egbert (d. 1843).
