Notes

Christian Fast Hampsten was born 24 March 1816 in Richland Co., Ohio. He was the son of Henry Hampsten and Catherine M. Fast. He married Rebecca Whitehurst prior to 1840 in Ohio. They moved to Illinois and reared a family of nine children. Christian died 1909 in Yale, Illinois. Descendants lived primarily in Illinois, Oklahoma, Texas, California and elsewhere.

Includes information on the Adamson, Atkinson, Fouty and Snyder families.
