History of the Showalter family, descended from Jacob Showalter who immigrated to Pennsylvania from Switzerland about 1750, and whose son Daniel settled near Broadway, Virginia in 1788. His descendant Anthony (1853-1921) and his wife Elizabeth Landes (1856-1898) and their posterity, with addresses, birth, marriage, and death dates are the focus of the book.
Includes Showalter, Shank, Schrock, Herr, Hartzler, Hirstein, Minnich, Landes and other related families.
