Genealogy of Gilbert McDonald (1872-1942), who was born in Gateshead, Durham, England, a son of Michael and Jamina Mullan McDonald. He married Isabella Foster (1875-1963) in 1895. She was a daughter of John Foster and Margaret Curry, born in New Bedford, England. Gilbert McDonald emigrated 1904. He settled in Belleville, St. Clair Co., Illinois. His wife and family emigrated the following year 1905. They had nine children, three born in England, six in Illinois. Descendants live in Illinois and elsewhere. Genealogy of Edward Leo Dobbins (1880-1928), who was born in Arnot, Pennsylvania to Michael Dobbins and Mary Purcell. He married Etta B. Pinkerton (1879-1945), daughter of William and Sarah Jane Clark Pinkerton in 1904. She was born in Campbell Hill, Illinois. Descendants live in Illinois and elsewhere.
