Joseph Bond, son of Benjamin and Ann Bond was Devizes, Wiltshire, England, was born in 1704. He immigrated to America, ca. 1735, and settled in Pennsylvania. He and his wife, Martha Rogers, had eight children, 1740-1755. The family migrated from Bucks County, Pennsylvania, to Roan (now Guildford) County, North Carolina, ca. 1751. He died before 1760. Descendants lived in North Carolina, Indiana, Missouri, and elsewhere.

Includes the Garrett, Mendenhall, Walton, Wright, and other related families.

Also includes the military of Caleb S. Garett, 1861-1891, copy from the Adjutant General's Office, War Department, 1892 (1 leaf, typescript) at front of book. He served in the Civil War and in Indian territory.
