Compiled by Joseph Wheeler and his wife, Daniella Jones. He was a Major-General in the Confederate Army during the Civil War; she was the widow of a Mr. Sherrod (who died during the Civil War) and had married General Wheeler in 1866.
Cover title.
Moses Wheeler (1598-1698) immigrated in 1638 from England to New Haven, Connecticut, and married Miriam Hawley. In 1648 they settled in Stratford, Connecticut. Descendants and relatives lived in New England, New York, Virginia, Georgia, Alabama and elsewhere.
