William Gustavis Carr (d.1887) served with Union forces in the Civil War, married Frances Jane Wallace in 1869 in Randolph County, Indiana, and moved to land near Molino, Florida. After his death, the family became converts to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and in 1902 moved to Manassa, Colorado (where one of the daughters married the missionary who had baptized the family). Descendants lived in Indiana, Florida, Colorado, Utah and elsewhere. Ancestors and relatives lived in New England, North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio and elsewhere.
Includes Cotton, Gibson, Haskell, Hays, Matlock, Pruett, Wallace and related families.
