Thomas Barber (ca.1614-1662) immigrated in 1635 from England to Windsor, Connecticut. Descendants lived in New England, New York, Ohio and elsewhere. John Barber (ca.1714-1775/1777), direct descendant of George Barbour of Dedham and Medfield, married Lydia Stimpson and lived in Boston. Descendants lived in New England, New York, Virginia and elsewhere.

Includes Boyden, Bullard, Burnham, Dodge, Drake, Gillett, Loomis, Phelps and related families.
