John Adamson came to America from London in 1691. He married Ann Skew in 1716 in West Collingswood, New Jersey. They later moved to Bucks County, Pennsylvania in 1726. Their descendant, Simon Adamson, Jr. (1763-1814) married Eleanor Routh, born 1769 in Randolph County, North Carolina. Simon died in Knox or Jefferson County, Tennessee. Descendants lived in Missouri, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, California and elsewhere.
