The Confederate cemetery is found in the Appomattox Court House National Historical Park (formerly known as the Appomattox Court House National Monument). The men buried here died during the Appomattox Campaign of 1865.

Contains a history of the cemetery, biographical sketches of eight soldiers buried there (includes military service), information about the other eleven unknown soldiers buried there, history of the Ladies Memorial Association (later became the Appomattox Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy) who founded the cemetery, and some other information.
