Jacobus Frats (Jacob Frets or Fratt) lived in the colony of Rensselaerwyk on the west side of the Hudson River in 1758. "Jacob's (Jacobus) farm was on the west side of the Hudson River "near Lathams' Corners, Watervliet. ... In the farm cemetery two grave stone sbear [sic] the inscription "Jacobus Frats, Novm. 11. 1777" and Mar. 7, 1775." the latter is presumed to be his wife, Margareta."--P. 1. " Jacob was not a native, but where he came from has not been determined. He was naturalized December 31, 1761 ... "--P. 2. presumably at Albany, New York where the "Oaths" were taken on 12 January 1762. Includes a handwritten note for a death occurning in 1975. Descendants and relatives lived in New York, Wisconsin, California, Montana, Oklahoma, New Jersey, Michigan, Ohio, Kansas and elsewhere.
