These registers include information on prisoners from various locations around the world, as well as prison ships. These registers were kept during the wars with France between 1793-1815. These records were created by the Prisoners of War Departments of the Sick and Hurt Board, up to 1796. From 1796-1817, they were created by the Transport Board and the Navy Board.
