The county clerk may have recorded the entries in v. 1 and part of v. 2, but entries for v. 3 and part of v. 2 were probably registered with the clerk of the Circuit Court.
Marriage registers, v. 2-3, give date and place of marriage, full name of the parties (husband and wife), ages, marital status, birthplaces, residences, parents' names, husband's occupation, name of person performing marriage ceremony, and other information. Vol. 3 also gives date license was issued.
Marriage bonds in v. 1 (p. 1-21, 1831-1852) give date of bond and names of husband and wife. Sometimes gives parents' names, ages, and marital status. Marriage register in v. 1 (p. 23-90, 1852-1864) gives full names of husband and wife, date and place of marriage, ages, race, marital status, occupation of husband, residences, parents' names, and name of who conducted the marriage. Information is not always complete.
