Records do not give name of court but only say "Alexandria County of DC". It is assumed these dockets might be for the Circuit Court.
Alexandria County became part of the District of Columbia in 1801. It was returned to Virginia in 1846, and the name was changed in 1920 to Arlington County.
Contains dockets for pleas of the United States - criminals, pleas for Virginia, recognizances for breaches of the peace and misdemeanor, office judgments, motions, injunctions for dissolution, common law issues, alias capias, actions, Admiralty cases, new issues, chancery cases (includes interlocutory decrees to be made final), etc.
Each entry in the docket gives number, names of plaintiffs and defendants, offense, plea, action taken, etc.
Each volume contains a partial index.
