Let’s Play Connect the Forefathers!
This presentation focuses on the recently released FamilyTreeDNA Discover™ Haplogroup Report which contains enhanced Y-DNA tools that allow participants to discover more in-depth information on their direct paternal lineage solely from their Y-DNA haplogroup.
The Discover™ project features tools where Y-DNA testers, or testers who have gotten a Y haplogroup with their autosomal test, can now see their haplogroup ages and view those migrations all the way back to Y-Chromosome Adam. FamilyTreeDNA Discover™ also includes some other entertaining features including shared connections with some famous or notable people, as well as matches to ancient relatives whose DNA was extracted from archaeological excavations.
This presentation includes a demonstration of how Y– DNA testing can be used in conjunction with Discover™ tools to further genealogical research, as well unearth some surprises hidden deep within our lineages.
