My memories of "Uncle Parley"

My memories of "Uncle Parley"

When I was around 8 years of age, my grandparents (Lewis and Faye Schley) lived in an area of Oakland, California called Montclair. Parley was my grandmother's brother (my great uncle) and he stayed with my grandparents for several years before they moved to San Francisco. He had the ability to contort his face into all sorts of scary or funny faces. He stayed in a back room of the house and didn't mingle much with the family when we visited. His meals consisted mostly of Cheerios during the day.

As I think about myself, I also have this ability to make some pretty crazy faces, move my eyes separately, and so on. Yes, we do inherit talents and abilities from our ancestors.
