This is the McClatchy Building built by John H. McClatchy in the 1920's. It was famous in its time for the detail work, the stained glass front, the lighting, and the restaurant on the top floor. It was the main office of the McClatchy Building Corporation later known as 69th Street Building Corporation. It also provided offices for other companies as well as shops at street level.
