In the name of God, Amen, I Christian Keneipp, of the state of Illinois and the County of Lawrence, considering the uncertainty of this mortal life, and being of sound mind, blessed be to God for the same, do make and publish this my last will and testament, in manner and form the following, that is to say, I bequeath unto my eldest son, Elijah Kenipp the sum of one hundred dollars provided the said Elijah Kenipp pays fifty dollars which the said Christian Keneipp is bound for in a Note and on failure so to do only fifty dollars. Unto my second son Andrew Kenipp, the sum of four hundred dollars when the farm that Christian Keneipp owns in the state of Ohio in the town of Crocklin is sold and the money collected, also of the personal property one pair of gold beds, one bed, on ax, one hoe, one pair of stilards, (thirdly) unto my third son Solomon Kenipp the sum of two hundred dollars, fourthly, unto my eldest daughter Hannah Callester, the sum of twenty-five dollars, which said several sums of money I will and order shall be paid to the said respective legatees when the above mentioned farm is sold for that purpose and I the said Christian Keneipp do appoint my son Solomon Kenipp whom I hereby appoint sole executor of this my last will. Hereby revoking all former wills by me made in witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal, this twenty sixth day of May in the year of our Lord. One thousand eight hundred and twenty five – signed, sealed, published and declared by the above named Christian Keneipp to be this last will, in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses, in the presence of said Christian Keneipp.
