What is My Batches in Indexing?

My Batches is a section on the Indexing page for managing the batches of historical records that you have checked out. To access it, click the Get Involved tab at the top of most FamilySearch pages, followed by Indexing.

My Batches shows you the titles of the batches you are currently working on and provides you with links so that you can return and finish them. It also lists the dates the batches expire. You are usually given 7 days to complete a batch. Batches that are close to expiring will appear in red.

FamilySearch indexing cannot extend expiration dates. Don’t be overly concerned if a batch that you were working on expires. Simply check out a new batch and continue indexing. We appreciate your efforts!
