In Family Tree, how do I return to myself on the pedigree?

If you have a large number of ancestors in Family Tree, it can be easy to get lost. To quickly return to yourself, use the Recents, Reset Pedigree, Reset View button to return to yourself on the pedigree.

Recents

Return to any of the last 50 people you viewed in Family Tree. Your name is always at the top of the list.

  • Click the name to show the person page.
  • Click to show the pedigree.

Home or Reset Pedigree

Family Tree Reset Pedigree Button

Return to the starting person and close all family lines that have been opened.

On the First Ancestor view, the first ancestor is at the top center with one generations of descendants open. The person of focus is at the bottom with one generations of ancestors open.

Note: This button is not available on the Descendancy view.

Recenter or Reset View

Family Tree Reset View button

This button returns you to the starting person of your pedigree. All open family lines remain open.

On the First Ancestor view, this returns the First Ancestor to the top center of the page. All of the open generations of ancestors and descendants remain open. This button is visible only after you have opened the family lines of people who are not in your clan path.

Note: This button is not available on the Descendancy view.
