Resetting maintenance counter for Lexmark X738 or X748 printers

After you install a new photoconductor, please reset the maintenance counter. Use one of the procedures below.

Replace or low message appears

Use the steps below after you replace a photoconductor and 84 Replace <color> photoconductor, 84 <color> photoconductor nearly low, or 84 <color> photoconductor low appears:

  1. On the home screen, tap Status/Supplies.
  2. Tap Supply Replaced.
  3. When Replaced <color> photoconductor appears, tap Yes.

If you replace more than one photoconductor, you need to repeat steps 1 through 3. When Ready appears the counter is reset.

Replace or low messages do not appear

Use the steps below steps after you replace a photoconductor and a replace or low message does not appear:

  1. On the home screen, tap the key icon.
  2. Tap Menus.
  3. Tap Supplies Menu.
  4. Tap Replace Supplies.
  5. Tap the button for the item you replaced:
    • All
    • Cyan Photoconductor
    • Magenta Photoconductor
    • Yellow Photoconductor
    • Black Photoconductor
  6. When <color> photoconductor replaced appears, tap Yes.
  7. Tap the Home button to return to the home screen.
