For repair of microfilm readers, refer to the NMI 2020 Clean and Repair Manual. Maintenance of film readers is the responsibility of the FamilySearch center. FamilySearch no longer supports film readers.
- Contact the local facilities management office to see if they know of unneeded equipment at other centers or salvaged parts.
- Before you discard an NMI 2020 Microfilm Reader that you cannot repair, salvage usable parts to fix another reader (lens, lamp, cables, belts).
