Private messages in FamilySearch Community

You can send private messages to individuals:

  1. In the top right corner, click the mail icon.
  2. To the right of Messages, click the note icon (New Messages)
  3. Under Recipients, enter the name of the person you want to message (You are limited to 5 recipients).
  4. Enter your message in the text box.
  5. Click Post Message.

Within a Community Group

  1. Navigate to the group page.
  2. At the bottom of the page, find members.
  3. To see the full list, click All Members.
  4. Find the person to whom you want to send a private message and click the photo or icon.
  5. Click Message.
  6. Enter your message in the text box.
  7. Click Post Message.

From a discussion thread

  1. To the top-left of the post, click the person's Community ID.
  2. Click Message.
  3. Enter your message.
  4. Click Post Message.
