Nothing appears on the monitor when plugged in

Director Information

The monitor can show as blank or show only the monitor logo when plugged in under the circumstances below:

  • Monitor is turned off
  • Graphic card is bad
  • Power cable is not plugged in to the monitor
  • Video cable is not connected to the monitor or computer securely

After verifying that the monitor is still not working when all the correct cables are plugged in, exchange the monitor with one of the monitors in the center that works correctly. If the broken monitor now works connected to a different computer, you know the monitor is fine. If the monitor now connected to the original computer is no longer working, then you know that it can be the graphics card or the computer that has problems. Replace either the monitor or the graphics card, depending on which is bad.
